MY SITE....

Today we created and looked at ways to make our sites more dynamic and easier to navigate.

MULTI-MODAL and MULTI-TEXT to support learners.

The site above is the result of me using this learning.

Multi- textual: The learner is presented with a variety of texts to read (watch, view) including one each of:
Complementary, Scaffolding , Challenging, Learner Selected . It is important to support students
identifying multiple voices in texts.

Multi-Modal: The learner is presented with a variety of texts using a variety of modes including video,
animation, audio, podcast, infographic, photos, website, cartoon.

Ideally multi-modal delivery would cover and strengthen the multi-textual goal

  1. Kia ora Ubby,
You have created an engaging and useful site for your learners for their Rarotonga visit. Don't you love how things work together?
Just wondering about the share - I'm suggesting a slight tweak. The learners create however they want using tools from their toolbox (absolutely). Once they have done that their Digital Learning Object (DLO) can/should be posted on their blog. That way everyone is sharing on the same platform, e.g. the Storybird book, photo collage, screencast, etc is embedded on the blog. You then get a notifcation and you and others can comment.
Happy to talk more about this.

great that you could see a way to build a site for the school trip and make something relevant and useful. Looking forward to seeing how it develops.
