WORKFLOW.

• What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?

Learn, create, share has made a huge difference to the engagement of the children in my class. Sharing our in class learning and making our whanau/community aware of what we are learning is our next BIG step.

Google KEEP is where I want to head with my learners- and maybe setting up hangouts.

I am probably going to spend the weekend organising my drive, gmail and bookmarks into folders. So fabulous.

One Tab- 

Keep multiple tabs in one tab- save and lock to protect them. Be ideal for report writing and marking kids work. 

Get Toby mini- not just Toby as he will take over your life. 

Once someone has something shared in your team, they will forever be in your team. 

Right click on tab and pin regularly used tabs.

Organising the inbox- STAR important emails

Organise your inbox

1. Click configure inbox

2. Select tabs 

3. Save.

Making a professional looking signature.

Go into settings and scroll down.

Undoing sent emails

Change the time you get to undo sent emails. Set between 5 and 30 seconds.

GOOGLE KEEP-

 

Useful for saving notes and can add collaborators.

Organise and add checkboxes to mark off as complete. 

Add labels. 

Need to get the app onto my phone so that I can use this anytime/ anyplace.

DFI- PLD 26/07/19

First DFI.... yep it was fast paced and very enjoyable.

Today was full of learning. We explored add-ons, Google products and were challenged with connection difficulties.


There were a few WOW moments - must get these add ons and extensions-KAIZENA

remove.bg was another that I think will be useful to not only myself but also the tamariki.

I also learnt about groups and must see our IT guys about being able to set up our groups.

Doc to form is also another very handy add-on.

It was wonderful having Dorothy explain to our group about the beginning of Manaiakalani and the pedagogy behind it. Lots of tips and tricks from today and I will have lots of fun trying out everything this coming week.

This is the new WORDWORK doc I created- just hope that it is functional! I have linked the page in the doc to the day of the week, hopefully so the kids complete a days work at a time.
